Sungai Pertak

Kuala Kubu Bharu

Sungai Pertak River and Waterfall
Sungai Pertak is a river that flows along the Aborigine village of Kampung Pertak into the Selangor Dam. It's a very popular fishing and camping spot for weekend warriors and families coming from Kuala Lumpur, while 4WD enthusiasts tear along the many trails that cross this river. The river flows into deep pools with small cascades in between, the largest section a short distance away from the village. The river is also an entry point for climbing Gunung Kutu, an abandoned colonial hill station located on top a 1000 meter high mountain peak. Sungai Pertak can be accessed by turning into the Kampung Pertak village, then following the main road all the way to the end.
